What Type of Gamer Are You?
Meet the 7 player archetypes, decided by your Game DNA
In short
A player archetype is your gamer type — the kind of player you are, set by your strongest Game DNA trait. GameHzLab defines 7: the Powerhouse, Strategist, Sharpshooter, Gambler, Zen Master, Socialite and All-Rounder.

Some people play to unwind, some to be challenged, some for the chaos of playing with friends. Every player's taste maps to a "player archetype", set by the strongest of their six Game DNA traits. One of the seven below will sound like you.

What is a player archetype?
A player archetype is a one-word summary of what kind of gamer you are. It's less about which genres you play and more about why you play — to relax, to think, to test your reflexes, or to be around people. The same game can hook one type and bore another; your archetype names that difference.
Instead of vague labels, we use GameHzLab's proprietary Game DNA system: every player gets a score across six traits, and the single highest trait decides which of the 7 archetypes you are.
How your gamer type is decided: the 6 Game DNA traits
Every player scores on these six traits; the one that stands out the most sets your archetype.
- StaminaHow much a game asks you to invest over time — a marathon or a sprint.
- MentalHow much it leans on thinking, planning and deduction.
- ReactionHow fast and twitch-based it is — timing and reflexes.
- LuckHow much the outcome rides on chance rather than pure skill.
- HealingHow soothing and low-pressure it is — how well it helps you unwind.
- SocialHow much it's built around other people — party play and rivalry.
