Puzzle Game Twisted Rope Tangle - 3D Puzzle
Twisted Rope Tangle - 3D Puzzle is an untangling game about tracing over-under relationships in a 3D knot. Drag rope ends or attachment points with the mouse to change their routes and remove crossings. Nearby segments may belong to different ropes, so identifying endpoints and layer order matters more than moving quickly.

A stage contains several ropes distinguished by color or direction. Their ends are fixed at different points and the middle sections cross one another. Moving one endpoint pulls the whole rope. That action may remove an existing crossing while creating another elsewhere. Before acting, trace one rope from end to end and note whether it passes above or below at each intersection, then choose which side can be moved free.
An outer rope is often the best first target because it lies above the others and has fewer constraints. Pulling one end into open space creates temporary working room, but dragging it straight across the whole bundle forms a new long crossing. Pause after every move and recount intersections. If one old crossing disappears while two new ones appear, the route used for the endpoint was too direct.
With more ropes, color is only a guide; continuity is the real identifier. Infer hidden sections from the direction immediately before and after an overlap instead of treating nearby disconnected segments as one rope. A stable solution usually releases one rope at a time. Clear the outermost one, park its endpoints near the edge, and leave central space for the next. The level completes when every route is visibly separate with no remaining over-under entanglement.
🕹️ Gameplay Logic
Dragging an endpoint updates the shape and position of its entire rope, including every crossing relationship. The goal is to eliminate all overlap and entanglement between different ropes. An old knot can be released by routing around the upper segment, while a new path through another rope creates a new knot. The stage clears once every rope is separated.
🎮 How to Play
- Start at one endpoint, follow the continuous line to the other end, and note every crossing.
- Choose an outer rope that lies above others and has relatively few intersections.
- Hold and drag its endpoint around lower segments and park it near an open edge.
- Recheck the crossing count after every move and release ropes one by one until all are separate.
🏆 Pro Tips
- Resolve the uppermost crossing first. Pulling an endpoint trapped beneath another rope usually tightens the tangle.
- Route around the outside of the bundle instead of crossing its center directly toward an empty position.
- Park a separated rope near the boundary so later movement does not pass over it again.
- When the layout becomes worse, reverse the last move, compare the crossing count, and change only that endpoint's route.
🧬 Game DNA Analysis
Mental 64: Each rope must be traced from its endpoint to identify which strand lies above at every crossing before moving a pin.
Reaction 56: The rope changes shape during a drag, calling for a timely stop before the new path creates another overlap.
Healing 53: Knots disappear one by one until the colored ropes are fully separated, providing a clear visual release.
