Minesweeper Challenge keeps the classic numerical constraints and applies them to a larger minefield. A number revealed in a safe cell states how many mines exist among its eight neighboring positions. During deduction, translate that total into a remaining need. If a clue of three already touches two confirmed flags, only one mine remains among its other unknown cells. Two rules provide repeated certain progress. When a clue's remaining need is zero, all its other unknown neighbors are safe. When the number of unknown neighbors equals the remaining need, every one of them is a mine. Harder boards create shared borders where one clue alone is insufficient. Compare overlapping unknown sets and use their difference. If a two-cell set needs one mine and a three-cell superset also needs one, the extra third cell must be safe. Flags are notes, not progress by themselves. An unsupported early flag corrupts the remaining count of every adjacent clue. After confirming a mine, update all neighboring clues immediately; after opening a safe cell, scan the new border for propagated certainty. A blank area can reveal a large region and is valuable to open, but only after a clue proves its safety. When one local border contains no deduction, move to another rather than guessing. New information may later constrain the first area from the opposite side. If a contradiction appears, review the most recent uncertain mark without discarding conclusions already proven. A very large board rewards consistent regional scanning and accurate notes more than jumping randomly across the whole field.
